Sustainability
Yes. All production takes place under our Environmental Sustainability Program. All newsprint is FSC or PEFC certified. Soy-based inks are standard. ISO 14001 environmental management certification is maintained across our production network. Full certification documentation is provided per run.
Yes. Most of our standard stocks include a high percentage of recycled content. 100% recycled options are available on request.
Our FSC and ISO certifications are relevant to sustainability-linked funding for regional and independent media. We provide the certification documentation your application may require. See our [→ Sustainability page] for more detail.
Getting Started
We move quickly. We recommend a sample test print run before going live — verify quality, colour and finish before committing. Once you're ready, the switch happens at your next edition.
A 30-minute review of your current print specs, publishing schedule, distribution requirements and costs. We identify where your current arrangement has risk or room to improve and give you a direct comparison. No obligation, regardless of whether you proceed.
Yes. We work with new publishers from pre-launch — format decisions, press specifications, distribution planning and first-edition file setup. Getting the production setup right before your first edition avoids costly corrections later.
Your information is handled under INS's Privacy and Security Policy. We use SSL encryption for all file transfers and do not share, sell or disclose client information to third parties. Files are retained for your account and available on request.
Yes. Our prepress team checks font embedding and character set integrity for non-Latin scripts including Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Greek, Italian and others. We flag any issues before press — font substitutions on newsprint produce results that can't be corrected after the run.
Yes. Your production setup — colour profiles, file specs, distribution list — is established once and held for each edition whenever it comes. There's no requirement for a regular publishing frequency to maintain your arrangement with us.
